Summary

As a Utility Locating Technician with Insight, LLC, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our utility services. This position is essential for accurately identifying and marking utility lines to prevent damage during construction projects in the Washington Metro area.

Responsibilities



  • Utilize specialized equipment to accurately locate and mark underground utilities.
  • Interpret blueprints and project plans to ensure precise line identification.
  • Conduct field surveys to assess site conditions and utility placements.
  • Collaborate with construction teams to provide real-time updates on utility locations.
  • Maintain detailed records of utility locations and any changes made during projects.
  • Adhere to safety protocols while working in various construction environments.
  • Assist in training new team members on utility locating techniques and equipment usage.


Qualifications



  • Proven experience in utility locating or related fieldwork is preferred.
  • Strong ability to read blueprints and understand construction plans.
  • Familiarity with cabling and field service operations is beneficial.
  • Basic knowledge of land surveying principles is a plus.
  • Ability to operate air vacuum excavation trucks or similar equipment is beneficial.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
