The Associate Manager, Corporate Communications supports Ferring business success (sales, ability to operate a manufacturing plant, partner of choice) by planning and implementing strategies and tactics to build, maintain and protect Ferring corporate reputation among key stakeholders, both internal and external.

Responsibilities:

Human Resources Communications Lead

  • Provide communications counsel and advice to HR leadership team:
  • DE&I: Provide primary communications counsel and support to company DE&I initiatives.
  • EVP: Provide primary communications counsel to support the consistent implementation of the employee value proposition.
  • Develop and maintain employee communications framework to ensure efficiency and avoid overload.
  • Manage "Join US" section of US Corporate Website in collaboration with Human Resources department.

Internal Corporate Communications Management

  • Develop and manage dissemination of internal communications in support of Corporate Reputation objectives and evolving business needs.
    • Identify and develop internal news stories.
    • Maintain editorial calendar and ensure news flow.
    • Publish news on appropriate channels.
      • Intranet news channel
      • Viva Engage
      • MS Teams
    • Contribute to US town hall planning and execution.

Internal Communications Counsel and Support to Central Functions

  • Provide communications counsel to central functions and cross-functional projects.
  • Assess needs and identify appropriate strategies, tactics, and channels to meet objectives.
  • Messaging

FerringConnect (SharePoint) Management

  • Develop and maintain corporate content and navigation standards.
  • Support organization engagement and use of intranet
    • Provide counsel and support to other departments and functions
      • Identify and train content owners to manage on their own behalf (culture change)
      • Ensure technical infrastructure keeps pace with evolving needs (collaborate with IT)

US Corporate Website Management

  • Manage updates and expansion as dictated by evolving business needs/opportunities.

Corporate Social Media Metrics

  • Manage metrics and reporting for corporate social media program.
  • Analyze content performance and use insights to suggest more effective content

Corporate Identity management

  • Point of contact for advice on application of global Ferring CI standards

Responsible for enforcing global Ferring CI of standards

Vendor Management for Communications Department

  • Manage vendor processes on behalf of Communications Department:
    • Icertis for contracts
    • Coupa for purchase orders, invoices

Required Education/Qualifications/Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in marketing, communications, or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in public relations, combination of agency and in-house experience
  • Previous experience (3 years) in the healthcare/ pharmaceutical arena required
  • Previous experience managing social media presence for corporate brand.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute plans
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to execute and measure multifaceted campaigns and day-to-day communications initiatives
  • A strong understanding of traditional media, digital and content marketing strategies, ability to integrate campaign strategies and apply analytics to measure results and provide insights
  • Poise and calm under pressure
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Word Press content management software.

Our Compensation and Benefits

At Ferring, base salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range. The base salary range for this role is $61,750 to $143,000, which is the reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount paid may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, education and primary work location. Additional compensation for this role will be provided based on competitive annual incentive compensation targets in the form of an annual bonus - payouts are based on individual and company performance.

Benefits for this role include: comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with a premium differential, inverse to base salary, to be paid by employees; a 401k plan and company match; short and long-term disability coverage; basic life insurance; wellness benefits; reimbursement for certain tuition expenses; sick time frontloaded yearly of 40 hours, or higher if state or local law requires; vacation time for full time employees to accrue between 112.5 and 150 hours yearly in the first four (4) years of employment, and additional accruals starting in the fifth (5th) year of employment; and 15 paid holidays per year. For roles that are not field-based, Ferring has a policy that allows employees to work up to two days from home and three at a Ferring site, weekly.
