Founded in 2004, the Reproductive Health Supplies Coalition (RHSC) is a global partnership of 560 public, private, and non-governmental organizations dedicated to increasing equitable access to a full range of safe, effective, affordable supplies that meet the sexual and reproductive health needs and desires of individuals living in low-resource settings by harnessing the Coalition's unique combination of expertise, ingenuity, and collection action of its members and partners.

RHSC member-organizations can collectively and collaboratively apply their expertise and resources to address reproductive health (RH) supplies issues through the Coalition's implementing mechanisms - its working groups, caucuses and regional forums -supported by the RHSC Secretariat, which comprises staff across the US as well as in Belgium, Benin, China, Kenya, Nigeria, Peru, Rwanda, and Zambia.

The Secretariat is staffed and managed by PATH. RHSC is launching a new Strategy (2025-2035) and Program of Action (POA) 2025-2028. The Secretariat is seeking a Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E)/Business Development (BD) Officer to help coordinate RHSC's fundraising efforts and ensure the timely implementation of RHSC's M&E plan in support of the new Strategy and POA.

Candidates must have solid analytical, writing, and verbal communications skills, the ability to work independently and take initiative, and a proven track-record of interacting with a diverse staff and a range of partners across geographies and sectors.

Responsibilities

Under the leadership of the Strategy and Performance Advisor, the M&E/BD Officer responsibilities will include the following:

Monitoring and Evaluation (50%):

  • Assist RHSC-wide efforts at reporting, including: contribute to the compilation, analysis, and documentation of results for RHSC's multiple donors; liaise with Secretariat staff to identify and prepare program updates and news stories that convey the impact of the RHSC's work and value-add to donors
  • Serve as an M&E technical resource across Secretariat and RHSC functions and support development of systems and data collection tools to track and report RHSC's accomplishments
  • Ensure POA indicators of program effectiveness are incorporated into new proposals and project plans
  • Guide Secretariat staff and RHSC grantees in strengthening the monitoring and measurement of RHSC-supported initiatives, including: ensure the quality of project M&E plans and framework documents, data collection instruments, and other program deliverables
  • Engage with and support RHSC's implementing mechanisms in tracking progress on outcomes that further RHSC's POA and Strategy. This may include conducting trainings and webinars to equip chairs and members of the implementing mechanisms with the knowledge and tools to identify and track progress on POA outcomes
  • Contribute to monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) sections of proposals
  • Help promote an overall M&E culture that seeks to bring more rigor to how RHSC accounts for the various contributions of the Secretariat, members, and other stakeholder groups with whom RHSC works directly

Business Development / fundraising (50%)

  • Lead the coordination of RHSC's fundraising efforts in line with the comprehensive fundraising plan
  • Prepare the agenda and materials for all RHSC's Fundraising Task Force meetings
  • Maintain RHSC's Donor and Communications Tracker in Smartsheet for customer relationship management
  • Work closely with the communications team on developing and disseminating collateral ensuring that key collaterals are easily accessible on RHSC 's shared drive and website for use across the organization and by external stakeholders such as the RHSC Executive Committee and RHSC members
  • Regularly update metrics for assessment of the fundraising plan
  • Contribute to proposal development as required

Required skills and experience:

  • Master's degree in public health, public health sciences, epidemiology, program evaluation or related field, and a minimum of3 years relevant M&E experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Enjoys learning and teaching. A team player and a self-starter
  • Track record of experience in M&E of international/global health projects implemented in low-resource settings and background in health programs and systems, particularly sexual and reproductive health
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English; diplomacy in communicating with a broad and diverse audience
  • Effective project management skills including experience with project management tools and coordination systems
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to synthesize and translate data into learnings and programmatic recommendations
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to provide innovative solutions
  • Excellent organizational skills and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Experience with at least one statistical package software for qualitative data analysis (Nvivo, Atlas.ti, etc.) is desirable
  • Experience in designing and implementing electronic surveys is desirable
  • Proven ability to collaborate and work effectively with diverse staff, colleagues, donors, partner organizations, stakeholders, local institutions, and others at all levels
  • Other language ability, such as French or Spanish, preferred
  • Experience living or working in a low-resource setting is highly desirable to understand program context
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally, an estimated 10 percent of the time
  • Must have legal authorization to work in the United States

We offer our employees a competitive salary and generous benefits. For candidates based in the U.S., the annual salary range for this position is $116,000-$145,000. The final salary is based on a variety of objective factors.
