USC's Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry, is looking for a talented Clinic Assistant to join its team. We will need a bilingual English and Spanish speaker in order to fill our role. Candidate must have at least 1 year of experience working in a dental clinic. Job Accountabilities: Schedules patient appointments after they are seen for a consultation in the clinic. Obtains authorization and pre-authorizations for patient care services. Ensures patient charts are prepared, through the direction of the clinic director,assigns patient charts to students. Administrative Skills: Answer phones Assemble and organize numerical data Balance figures Compose letters Compute totals Coordinate meetings Draft routine correspondence Gather data Input data Prioritize different projects Read handwritten text Understand and apply policies and procedures Machine Skills: Calculator Computer Network (department/school/university) Fax Personal Computer The hourly rate range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00. Minimum Education: High school or equivalent Minimum Experience: 1 year, Combined education/experience as substitute for minimum experience Minimum Field of Expertise: Certificate of completion from medical assistance program.
