Description Penn Pak, a business unit of Pennington Seed/Central Garden & Pet Company, is a leader in the bird food manufacturing industry. We are searching for a Forklift Operator for our Sidney, NE location. This role is critical to maintaining our high standards in production and ensuring our products meet quality and safety standards. As part of our team, you will be responsible for various tasks working with a team to meet tight schedules and deadlines safely and efficiently. SHIFT DETAILS Monday through Friday, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Load and unload trucks with required paperwork. Place raw materials, bags, and boxes at each production line. Remove materials and/or pallets to be wrapped and return them to the storage area or place for warehouse shipment. Operate forklift safely. Stock warehouse and rotating stock. Maintain a clean and safe working environment. Use SAP to print required documents for loading trucks. Complete daily vehicle inspections along with production counts and driver duty sheets for production office personnel. Regular and reliable attendance is essential to this role. QUALIFICATIONS Must be able to lift up to 50-55 lbs. Must be able to sit and operate a forklift at least 75% of the workday. Must be able to climb on and off forklifts at least 25% of the workday. Able to operate an automatic pallet wrapper and complete paperwork daily. Able to work closely with other team members in a designated work area, fostering teamwork and collaboration. Ability to work on your feet for extended periods, with frequent stooping, squatting, overhead lifting, and walking. Proficiency in counting and basic math skills. Ability to work overtime and weekends as required. Must be able to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. MINIMUM EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in agriculture, production, or a manufacturing environment is a plus. WORKING CONDITIONS Work environment includes a non-climate-controlled warehouse production facility, with frequent proximity to moving mechanical parts, product irritants/allergens, airborne particles, and outdoor weather conditions. Occasionally, tasks may involve working at heights, in confined spaces, and amidst moderate noise levels. ALLERGY NOTICE Please be aware that we produce products containing nuts.
