Position Details: The Director Network Operations and Security will draw on past experience to provide strategic, administrative, and technical leadership that plans, executes, maintains, and controls the Merakey's technology infrastructure, including all aspects of the Information Security Program. This role oversees all aspects of data center operations including management and day-to-day operation of all Merakey networks and domains. The position will be responsible for providing strategic and hands-on operational leadership for the organization's infrastructure services including, but not limited to, LANs / WANs, wireless, servers, storage, virtualization, cloud computing, telephony (VoIP), and network security. Our ideal candidate will possess the following skills: * Manage and provide direct oversight of staff (Teams: Network Operations, System Operations, Telecom, and Security) executing all aspects of network operations including the planning, acquisition, implementation, integration, and support of data network hardware and software, security and performance of routine maintenance. * Coordinates the assignment of resources to IT support projects, operations, and end-user incidents. Ensures a strong customer service experience where users/customers are provided professional, courteous, and timely support and service * Investigate, coordinate, and respond to information security breaches/incidents, industry alerts, and industry surveys, and coordinate and/or participate in information security-related exercises. * Coordinate third-party compliance reviews of the Company's controls (SRA, pen tests, etc.) and develop plans for any required remediation * Develop strategies and support plans to consistently exceed performance objectives in a highly dynamic and changing environment; proactively identify any gaps and propose mitigation plans. * Manages the inventory, support and maintenance of all network technology assets, including, but not limited to: servers, firewalls, routers, switches, wireless access points, and storage devices. * Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures for infrastructure administration and ensure compliance with organizational standards, practices and methodologies. Maintain and update all technical and procedural documentation including but not limited to network diagrams and SOPS. * Manage and provide support for the company-wide routing, switching and security. Recommend, implement and enforce policies and procedures to improve the performance, scalability and security of the network * Direct the planning and performance of network and system availability including overseeing network architecture to provide redundant system in key areas, routine backups, and archival of files stored on the network to assist in recovery efforts. * Lead the development, maintenance, testing and evaluation of appropriate data protection, including participating in third part/vendor assessments, disaster recovery and business continuity plans for all components of Merakey. * Serve as internal project lead/manager for large scale infrastructure projects and provide oversight and guidance on solution architecture and design. * Engages in ongoing research of emerging trends and new technologies which may benefit the organization's goal of strategically implementing technology to enhance business and/or operational performance. * Measures and reports on performance via metrics and indicators of service level activity and customer satisfaction. Provides regular performance and utilization reports to leadership. * Prepares and submits the annual operating and capital budgets for designated cost center(s) as well as managing P&L. * Develop strong relationships with business and IT operational leadership to align internal and external demands, priorities and processes. * Consistently exhibits behavior and communication skills that demonstrate Merakey's commitment to superior customer service, including quality, care and concern with each and every internal and external customer. * Build organizational talent by creating a learning environment that ensures employees realize their highest potential. Shares knowledge and develop staff capabilities to strengthen understanding of IT and business. * Minimum 5 years of leadership experience. * Minimum 10 years of hands-on technical experience. * Proven track record of success in network architecture and design, network security and network operations. * Familiarity with ITIL and compliance, at least one certification such as CISA, CISSP, CRISC, CISM, or CDPSE preferred. * Experience with specific leading-edge tools in Merakey's cybersecurity suite a plus, including but not limited to: FortiNet, Tenable, and Proofpoint. * Strong knowledge of laws and regulations relating to information security, including hands-on experience implementing security frameworks and implementing policies and standards. * Demonstrated experience designing, building, deploying, migrating, and supporting enterprise infrastructure: Servers, Network, Storage, Backup, Virtualization, Cloud, Software, and Systems. * Working knowledge and experience of IT Infrastructure, Cloud Infrastructure (Azure, AWS, and GCP), Local and Wide Area Networks, ZTNA, and Telecommunications design and support. * Hands on experience supporting a Microsoft Active Directory running over a Cisco infrastructure in a multi-site organization. * Strong knowledge of HP/Pure/EMC/Cisco hardware platforms, and datacenter design/optimization. * Experience supporting and managing application delivery through Microsoft Terminal Services and Citrix Presentation Server. * Excellent customer service and high level problem-solving and interpersonal skills. * Ability to communicate and transfer knowledge clearly and effectively in a non-technical manner. * Comfortable in managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated success in leading large and complex IT projects from concept to delivery. * Must have working knowledge of ticket tracking, hardware monitoring and performance analysis packages. * Desire to be a contributor, a problem solver, and an integral part of our success. * Experience mentoring and motivating staff.
