Job Description

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory (NNL) is seeking an ambitious professional to lead the Visitor Control office in New York. As a member of the Security Department (SD) the successful candidate will work closely with peers and colleagues across FMP on a routine basis. Contribute to the Personnel Security Program and collaborating with peers to ensure processes are implemented consistently across all sites. This position will be responsible for complying with standard operating procedures, training documentation, training other personnel, driving process improvements, and site access. This position requires the successful candidate to work in a fast-paced environment while focusing on details. The candidate must be a team player who is willing to team, share work, and work with minimal supervision.

The primary duties associated with this position include:

* Support and process uncleared visitor requests for all NNL sites

* Support and process cleared visitor requests for all NNL sites

* Processing physical access control requests

* Prepare and issue company communications

* Identifying areas for improvements and supporting process improvements

* Developing and maintaining standard operating procedures

* Ensuring compliance with DOE Orders and Federal regulations

Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill

  • High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience; or
  • Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience; or
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.

Pay Range
$50,800.00 - $76,200.00 annually
Salary information provided is a general guide line only. Annual salary is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is operated for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) by Fluor Marine Propulsion, LLC (FMP), a wholly owned subsidiary of Fluor Corporation. Naval Nuclear Laboratory personnel are FMP employees who work at four DOE facilities: Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory, Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory, Kenneth A. Kesselring Site, and Naval Reactors Facility, and at the U.S. Department of Defense-owned Nuclear Power Training Unit-Charleston. FMP employees also have an established presence at numerous shipyards and vendor locations. For nearly 70 years, the Naval Nuclear Laboratory has developed advanced nuclear propulsion technology, provided technical support, and trained world-class nuclear operators to ensure the safe and reliable operation of our nation's submarine and aircraft carrier Fleets. The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is a national asset solely dedicated to the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program.
