GENERAL FUNCTION

Acts as the process expert for the Inking/Packing area and supports the team in applying standards and improving the standard to meet goals in terms of Motivation, Safety, Quality, Cost and, Delivery. Must be a leader in the commitment to the overall organizational direction and the team-based approach within production. Drive results in the work group with the focus on QC yields, product flow and communication with the other team members to enhance the overall results.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Be a process expert on all aspect of the QC area as well as extensive knowledge of the product and materials.
  • Ensure a safe working environment at all times.
  • Maintains a 2-way communication with team members, supervisor and Auto Technicians.
  • Deliver training to the standard using the TWI (Training Within Industry) approach and our existing training system (TMS).
  • Assist, support and challenge, if needed, the Automation Engineering group for process improvement activities
  • Ensure standards are applied through continuous audits, addressing any gaps to the standard, either through enforcing discipline, retraining or solving problems that prevent applying the standards.
  • Track process outcome and provide support accordingly.
  • Capture problems that prevents applying the standards and ensure those problems are solved timely through structured problem solving or through coordinating the resources required to solve the problem.
  • Involve team to evaluate ideas and/or make them better.
  • Report to and collaborate with Group Lead/Supervisor on any process or personnel issues.
  • Uses their leadership skills and technical competences to facilitate the actions necessary to align team with daily production goals, etc.
  • Partner with Team Members in creating or revising ISO related documents (SOPs, work instructions, POIs, MFGs, MCNs, etc.). Ensure ownership by the team.
  • Assist in the support of and team understanding of the Quality Management System, Production Management System, and Starpoint System.
  • Reference appropriate documents when required such as MSDS documents, system level SOPs, company policies and Policy Manual, and ISTM documents.
  • Encourage and support the culture of the organization.

  • Takes pride and ownership in their own work, the facility and the team by modeling team behaviors.
  • Thoroughly understands the Inking/Packing process. To be trained and signed off an all applicable technical POI's related to the position.
  • Any additional duties required as directed by Supervisor.



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS



  • Education equivalent to a high school diploma or GED.
  • Strong technical competencies and process expertise.
  • Strong human relations skills.
  • Able to set a good example to employees with regard to company policies and procedures.
  • Respected by peers and management for both attitude and work ethic.



PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS



  • Prior leadership experience preferred.
  • TWI training method/approach knowledge or experience preferred.
  • Electromechanical knowledge or experience preferred.
