Reports to the Planning/Scheduling Group Supervisor.
What you will do:
- Effectively develop job work packages and weekly maintenance schedules
- Improve workforce productivity and quality by reducing potential delays and obstacles through strategic planning, coordination of parts, equipment, and manpower.
- Apply correct maintenance disciplines to maintain the sustainability and reliability of the integrated systems of people, materials, and equipment.
- Act as the principal contact and liaison for work coordination activities between the Operations and Maintenance organizations prior to performance of work.
- Ensure a proactive approach to work for their assigned operational areas or functions is prompt, efficient, and quality based.
- Plan all maintenance work performed in assigned areas.
- Maintain appropriate records and files for meaningful analysis and reporting.
- Receive all approved work orders from assigned requesting departments excluding emergency work; emergency work is designated as that requested of the associated Maintenance Foreman for immediate attention.
- Examine jobs to be done and determines best way to accomplish the work; consult with requester and other parties, as necessary.
- Obtain blueprints, drawings, instructional manuals, and special procedures as needed from local or external sources.
- Create additional drawings, sketches, diagrams, etc., necessary to clarify and support work orders.
- Identify and obtain (requisitions, orders parts kits as appropriate) determinable materials, entering material needs on the work order through the pick list functionality.
- Determines if critical items are in stock by verifying availability.
- Estimate jobs showing sequence of steps, crafts and required man-hours for each step.
- List determinable materials and special tools or equipment needed.
- Estimate cost of each work order in terms of labor and materials required, and total cost to perform.
- Ensure work order statuses such as: awaiting planning, in planning, awaiting materials, ready to work, are timely given the appropriate WSA status within CMMS.
- Review variances on actual material versus estimated material with the Maintenance Foreman in order to improve the accuracy of estimating and improving methods of doing work.
- Assist maintenance and operation management in periodically analyzing costs and recommends corrective action needed to reduce maintenance costs where necessary.
- Keep the Planning/Scheduling Group Supervisor properly informed on all abnormal or critical situations and seeks advice on matters outside of the planner's knowledge or authority.
- Maintain the CMMS entity structure changes and recommends workflow and process improvements.
- Maintain necessary records and files and prepares and distributes meaningful and accurate control reports.
What you will bring:
- High School Diploma or General Equivalent
- 3 years of experience in Industrial maintenance ora strong foundation in Planning/Scheduling within a relevant industry
- Experience with (CMMS) computerized maintenance management system systems and tracking of best practice maintenance activities, preferred.
- Knowledge of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), preventive and predictive maintenance programs and standards.
