Summary of role

The Inventory Controls and SOX Compliance Manager will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the inventory management processes within the organization. This hands-on role will ensure accurate inventory records, minimizing discrepancies, and will implement best practices to support efficient supply chain operations. The Inventory Controls Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams (Quality, Manufacturing and Finance) to develop and enforce policies that enhance inventory accuracy and improve overall operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities/Essential Functions

Inventory Management and Accuracy:



  • Oversee daily operations to ensure accurate record keeping and reporting, utilizing SAP to maintain real time inventory tracking
  • Management of expired material across internal warehouses, CMO's, 3PL's and Third-Party distributors
  • Monthly CMO inventory reconciliations; investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Management of the cycle counting program: ensure regular cycle counts are conducted in a timely manner and errors investigated to meet compliance targets, ABC coding evaluated annually to reflect business need requirements, analyze hit % accuracy
  • Conduct full physical inventory audits as needed to validate inventory control
  • Develop and conduct inventory training periodically to the Tech Ops organization
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain Planning on periodic ROP/Safety Stock analysis for security of supply, ensuring the ERP system is reflecting correct information


SOX Compliance



  • Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley Act, company policy and industry standards
  • Full ownership of Inventory controls within the organization; ability to navigate the Internal Controls reporting tool
  • Act as the Liaison between the Internal Audit team, External Audit team and the business to deliver all requests and testing requirements on time


Process Optimization



  • Analyze current inventory control processes and identify opportunity areas
  • Develop and implement SOP's and Work Instructions in line with current business process
  • Collaborate with Quality, Manufacturing and Warehouse to troubleshoot errors and establish optimal business processes


Reporting and Analytics



  • Lead a weekly Inventory meeting with multiple stakeholders
  • Lead a monthly KPI Supply Chain meeting on the month's KPI's and performance metrics.
  • Analyze inventory to provide actionable insights to senior management to support strategic decision-making


Other



  • Manage on-site Third Party non-inventoried items, reviewing ROP's based on historical usage.
  • Collaborate with the Facilities team on Spare Parts Management and integration of the Asset Management system with SAP
  • Participate in projects related to inventory management, lending advice and support on future integrations


Basic Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field
  • 5+ years experience in inventory management, supply chain in a GMP environment, preferably radiopharmaceutical, pharmaceutical or life sciences industry
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office and ERPs - preferably SAP S4 Hana. Ability to pick up technology easily
  • Strong analytical, attention to detail, problem solving and project management skills
  • Excellent communication (both written and oral) and leadership skills with demonstrated ability to influence key stakeholders based on sound business rationale
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities


Other Requirements



  • This position is site-based in Billerica and requires a presence on-site three days per week (four preferably).
  • May require occasional travel to other facilities or vendors for cycle counting and inventory oversight.
