Responsibilities

As a Medical Imaging Student Extern in our Radiology Department, you will be an integral part of a dynamic team, dedicated to providing high-quality imaging services. This role is an invaluable opportunity for students currently pursuing a degree in radiologic technology or medical imaging, offering hands-on experience in a clinical setting. You will engage in a variety of tasks under supervision, enhancing your understanding of diagnostic imaging processes and patient care in a hospital environment. The position allows exposure to diverse imaging modalities, including X-ray, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, and potentially others, depending on departmental needs and your educational focus. This role is not just about observing; it's about actively participating in the day-to-day operations of a busy radiology department, learning from seasoned professionals, and contributing to patient care within the scope of your educational program.



Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. High school diploma or equivalent required.

2. Currently attending an accredited health care educational program for medical imaging.

3. Completion of their first-year curriculum requirements,

4. Current BLS

5. At least one year of clinical experience in the medical imaging program required

6. Proficient computer skills.

7. Physical ability to assist in lifting and moving patients as needed
