Qualifications License/Certifications: Certified Protection Professional (CPP) - American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS); Driver's License - Secretary of State (SOS); Certified Healthcare Protection Administrator (CHPA) within 2 years - International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS) Education: Bachelor's Degree (Required) Other Knowledge/Skills: Responsibilities Directs, supervises, and evaluates the work of reporting staff. Hires and develops new employees and conducts performance reviews. Motivates and coaches staff to achieve department and organizational goals. Understands, interprets, and enforces new and/or updated local, state, federal security regulations and maintains positive working relations with all outside agencies including local/state police agencies. Oversees the daily activities of the department; develops and implements short and long-term plans designed to achieve department goals and objectives. Implements and evaluates department goal achievement and creates action plans to support the organization's vision, philosophy, and strategic plan. In collaboration with key stakeholders, develop and apply security strategies consistent with the identification of current security risks and threats and in alignment with regulatory and budgetary requirements. Collaborates with executive security leadership in the development and implementation of security and safety policies and procedures. Represents the department by actively participating in entity/regional level committees and community activities. Ensures compliance with security standards and regulatory/accreditation agency requirements. Implements and monitors the security management plan performance at assigned facilities. Applies continuous quality improvement principles to the security function. Provides expertise in healthcare security to support a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and team members. Performs security risk assessments as required at facilities within assigned region. Collaborates with peers to develop and implement policies related to the security function. Ensures that revenue, expenses, contribution margin and FTE's meet or exceed budget. Prepares and submits budget and related reports. Forecasts and accurately projects expenses. Takes corrective action to address negative variances. Identifies and proposes capital budget items to senior security leadership as appropriate. About Us Find it here. Compensation and Benefits The compensation range for this position is $47.83per hour - $82.27per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
