The Global Service Parts Project Leader will be responsible for managing multiple moderately complex service part projects. This individual will leverage strong project management and organizational skills to lead cross-functional collaboration with global teams from Operations, Manufacturing, Product Engineering, Quality, Trade Compliance, and others, to drive the successful and timely execution of assigned projects.

The Global Service Parts PL will be a responsible for analyzing and understanding business processes, and then develop and execute action plans that will optimize and streamline those processes, mitigate risks or excess costs to the company, and drive enhancements that ultimately benefit Milwaukee Tool's end users.

The ideal candidate will be a high-potential leader, with problem solving and change management experience, and must possess high intrinsic drive and a willingness to step beyond the traditional bounds of project management to bring value to the business.

This is an on-site role based in Milwaukee Tool's corporate offices in Brookfield, WI.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Represents the Milwaukee Tool Service team in providing leadership over service part projects of medium to large complexity

  • Acts as CEO of their project, takes accountability, and possesses a sense of urgency for their project's outcome

  • Develops and executes project plans using strong project management skills. Develops project charters and governance documents.

  • Schedules, develops agendas for, and facilitates project meetings. Documentation of discussion with action items effectively captured is shared shortly thereafter.

  • Motivates cross-functional team to work towards accomplishing project objectives while focusing on cost, performance and schedule. Drives accountability for team to successfully complete tasks.

  • Tracks project schedules to ensure adherence to scope, timelines, budgets, and deliverables, and regularly creates presentations to communicate project status

  • Coordinates project planning efforts and identifies critical path tasks and project risks

  • Ensures effective communication with global cross-functional teams as well as management team. This includes daily team communications as well as high level project summaries.

  • Establishes appropriate metrics and reports on progress, achievements and results. This includes executive-level reporting, management updates, and best practice sharing throughout the organization.

  • Capability to quickly establish credibility, influence project teams and persuade professionals at all levels.

  • Partners with key stakeholders and effectively communicates up, down, and across the organization

  • Leads with clear direction of priorities in a climate of change

  • Maintains a strategic cross functional mindset and understands how business decisions will impact entire organization

  • Identify, communicate, and escalate as needed, if key project risks or roadblocks are encountered

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations management, supply chain, business, or equivalent years of directly related project management experience.

  • Experience in managing low to moderately complex new product development projects.

  • High level of technical aptitude, including knowledge of product development and manufacturing processes associated Milwaukee Tool products.

  • Good understanding of the roles of Engineering, Suppliers, Quality, and Purchasing in delivering conforming parts and assemblies.

  • Excellent problem identification, critical thinking, and resolution skills.

  • Results driven and deadline orientated. Ability to manage projects to aggressive schedules and results. Ability to handle fast paced, and agile culture. Ability to adapt to constant change and competing priorities.

  • Thrive in a collaborative work environment. Ability to develop and nurture productive business relationships, and influence and educate internal team members and external suppliers.

  • Demonstrated history of successful project or workflow management across a portfolio of dynamic, fast-moving projects.

  • Solid communication skills, both written and verbal are required

  • Computer Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, MS Project, Outlook)

  • Working in ERP/MRP environments. Knowledge of Microsoft AX and/or Oracle is desired.

  • Experience with Lucid applications

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Working cross functionally across a diverse and global organization.

  • Excellent time management, prioritization, and organizational skills

  • Domestic and international travel will be required, up to 40%.

Desired Qualifications

  • Master's Degree pertinent to any cross functional business interactions

  • Success in managing multiple, complex projects and changing priorities, making sound decisions and working effectively in a matrix environment.

  • Must possess strong written and verbal communication and collaboration skills in an executive setting.

  • Track record of success with cross functional teams, driving change and implementing new processes that significantly improve sales effectiveness.

  • Effective written and oral communication skills, ability to establish rapport and credibility.

  • Innovative problem solver-resolve issues and challenges with strong sense of urgency.

  • PMP or PMI Certification

  • EDI, ERP, Distribution, and/or Inventory Management experience

  • Power BI, Service Now, SharePoint, Digital Assets, Microsoft Power Platform experience
