Job Highlights
- Drive and implement strategic growth initiatives for the LubricantAdditives Business Unit (LAB).
- Identify new growth ideas in both core and adjacent markets and interface with senior management to secure commitment to implement.
- Lead global, cross-functional teams and manage key strategic projects to ensure implementation success.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with prospective customers and/or partners through customer meetings, trade shows and other channels.
- Work closely with sales, technical and product managementto develop new market growth strategies and lead market entry activities.
- Support other activitiessuch as market trend monitoring, M&A targets engagement and plant optimization projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related field.MBA or advanced education in a technical field is preferred
- Prior experience (5+ years) in business development, sales/marketing or a technical setting (with exposure to routine customer interaction).
- Must be comfortable with ambiguity, with strong learning ability and problem-solving skills in a dynamic setting.
- Should be collaborative and team oriented with a global perspective and ability to take strong ownership of tasks and deadlines.
- Strong communication and networking skills. Ability to create and give effective presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
- Project management experience with a participative leadership style and entrepreneurial vision with ability to inspire and influence others.
- Travel is required for this position approximately 50 percent of the time and ismostly domestic;on occasion may be international.
- Ability to work on-site in Shelton, Connecticut withfully remote a viable option.
Desired Experience
- Prior work experience in a technical setting (R&D or technical service).
- Previousexperience in the lubricant industry.
- Prior experience in synthetic esters as base oil in lubricant uses or for other applications.
