Completes and coordinates warehouse and mail work assignments, processes mail, and provides administrative support. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES: Processes mail and product orders; performs postal and warehouse shipping, receiving, and administrative functions.
  • Coordinates shipping and receiving for all departments; schedules staff to cover workload.
  • Receives orders by mail, fax, email, or phone for products from warehouse stock; inputs warehouse orders into computer; pulls and packs warehouse orders.
  • Coordinates the preparation of UPS, small packages, and US mail and the maintenance of the consumer address database.
  • Schedules pickup and delivery of fixed assets, mail, and product deliveries to locations both on and off campus; schedules and coordinates moves on campus.
  • Sorts mail and maintains familiarity with all mail routes; coordinates the forwarding data base and forwarding of mail.
  • Trains staff to assure the highest possible call handling quality and the lowest possible data entry error factor; maintains accurate statistical records for performance management, budget, analysis, and periodic reporting.
  • Maintains inventory and warehouse equipment; orders products as necessary; receives and processes new inventory; checks new inventory invoices for errors and damages; handles product returns.
  • Schedules use and maintenance of vehicles and warehouse equipment and assigns warehouse space.
  • Provides administrative support including preparing reports and maintaining procedure book.
  • Operates a forklift to move items in warehouse; utilizes a Boys Town vehicle as to deliver items as needed.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Ability to coordinate mail and warehouse activities and workers.
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to communicate with individuals in an articulate manner.
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and multi-task while maintaining quality standards.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum of 1 year experience including mailroom or warehouse required.
  • Possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record and pass an annual Motor Vehicle Registration (MVR) check required.
  • Forklift certification required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
