Fitness Floor Manager - Engage, Inspire, and Drive Excellence

About the Role:

As the Fitness Floor Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring our fitness floor operates seamlessly while creating an inviting and engaging environment for members. This position is focused on maintaining a high standard of cleanliness, member engagement, and operational excellence.

What You'll Do:



  • Engage Members: Build positive relationships with members, ensuring they feel supported and inspired to achieve their fitness goals.
  • Cleanliness & Maintenance: Oversee the cleanliness and functionality of all fitness floor equipment and spaces, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment.
  • Fitness Floor Operations: Manage high-volume traffic on the fitness floor with a focus on efficiency, engagement, and safety.
  • Group Exercise & Personal Training: Ensure group exercise schedules are fully staffed and personal training clients are matched with the best trainers for their needs.
  • Community Programming: Work with the Health and Wellness Director to develop and implement programs that align with the needs of our community.
  • Leadership & Teamwork: Collaborate with staff to maintain high standards, and actively participate in the day-to-day activities of the fitness floor.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in the area of Exercise Physiology, Sports Medicine, Exercise Science, Physical Education, or a related field preferred but not required
  • A passion for health and wellness with a national group exercise or personal training certification, or agree to achieve within 1 year, to meet the direct service components of the position
  • Must have demonstrated experience organizing multiple schedules and strong relationship-building skills to support a team to achieve a goal
  • Must have experience and proven success in a leadership role, including supervision
  • Must maintain a valid driver's license and CPR/First Aid certification
  • Schedule is Tuesday - Saturday



Environmental Factors



  • Must be able to perform the physical skills required to participate in and lead fitness programs, including those of a physical nature
  • Must be able to maneuver and lift equipment and plates up to 50 lbs
