SUMMARY Agile Defense will support U.S. Southern Command's (USSOUTHCOM) efforts to deter aggression, defeat threats, protect national Security, rapidly respond to crisis situations, and build Area of Responsibility (AOR) Information Technology (IT) capacity. We will deliver direct support in implementing and sustaining mission critical IT networks and robust cyber defense services with compliance to all Cyber Task Orders (CTOs).
We are seeking an experienced Mission Assurance Lead to ensure assured and resilient C5IM capabilities and assets critical to the success of USSOUTHCOM's operational objectives. The Mission Assurance Lead will be responsible for overseeing and managing critical systems and configurations, including KT-C and MRT-C, to support USSOUTHCOM's Campaign Plan, crisis, contingency, and exercise plans, and ongoing operations. This role requires a high level of expertise in creating and maintaining environments that empower the warfighter to maintain freedom of action, ensuring the ability to access, share, and maneuver information in contested environments.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Oversee and manage the architecture, configuration, and resilience of C5IM capabilities and assets (e.g., KT-C and MRT-C) across the entirety of the SCITES 2 Task Order (TO), ensuring seamless and secure operations for USSOUTHCOM's missions.

* Ensure the successful deployment, integration, and interoperability of C5IM systems that are essential for the execution of USSOUTHCOM's strategies, including the Campaign Plan, crisis and contingency operations, and military exercises.

* Lead efforts to ensure that all configurations, systems, and networks are resilient and able to support operations in contested and challenging environments, where maintaining information superiority and freedom of action is critical.
*
* Develop and implement strategies to assure and sustain the operational readiness of C5IM systems, ensuring they can adapt to evolving operational needs and missions.
*
* Establish and manage configuration management processes that guarantee the consistency, accuracy, and accessibility of mission-critical information, enabling decision-making and mission success.
*
* Coordinate closely with cross-functional teams, including IT specialists, cybersecurity experts, and USSOUTHCOM leadership, to ensure that all systems are configured and maintained in compliance with operational goals and best practices.
*
* Implement measures to address technical debt, optimize system performance, and reduce vulnerabilities, ensuring robust, mission-capable systems are always available.
*
* Lead the development and execution of configuration management blueprints that ensure all C5IM systems and assets are maintained to the highest standards of reliability and performance.
*
* Provide strategic direction for the continuous improvement of IT systems, leveraging the latest technologies and standards to meet evolving operational requirements.
*
* Ensure the security, integrity, and resilience of IT infrastructure and assets, preparing systems to support critical operations in both peacetime and crisis situations.

Education, Background, and Years of Experience
* 5 to 7 years of experience in Mission Assurance and IT systems management in military or defense-related environments.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS Required Skills
* Proven experience in managing C5IM systems, including KT-C and MRT-C, that are integral to operational missions and strategic objectives.
*
* Demonstrated expertise in creating and maintaining resilient, assured systems and IT infrastructure that enable operational readiness in contested environments.
*
* Strong understanding of configuration management principles, best practices, and tools for maintaining consistency, accuracy, and accessibility of information across diverse and complex systems.
*
* Experience developing and implementing strategies and processes that ensure mission assurance, system resilience, and seamless interoperability.
*
* Ability to develop and implement comprehensive plans to ensure the warfighter's ability to access, share, and maneuver in information-dominant and contested environments.
*
* Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and manage complex, multi-disciplinary projects.
*
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to adapt quickly to rapidly changing operational requirements.
Preferred Skills
* Experience supporting USSOUTHCOM or similar combatant commands is highly desirable.
*
* Familiarity with DoD IT standards, policies, and frameworks related to C5IM, EIE, and CM management, including ITIL, DoD 5000 series, and others.
*
* Knowledge of cybersecurity protocols and risk management processes in military and defense environments.

Strength Demands
