Salary: $167,000 - $217,000
Schedule: 9/80; 5/8's

Focus: The Production Leader is responsible for supervising the manage production activities of the plant to assure safe operation of the facility, in full compliance to produce quality products at the planned rates at the right cost.

Production Leader Essential Job Functions:

  • Develop leaders within the Unit 5 organization and throughout Texas Operations. Must lead by example with high integrity and empower employees to take ownership and be responsible for team's success.
  • Optimizes the daily production and raw material usage in the facilities through Operating Discipline requirements, as well as predicting and maintaining cost to achieve maximum asset utilization and safe operation.
  • Facilitates the implementation of safety, quality, environmental, productivity, or cost control programs. Prioritizes the allocation of resources and provides focus and coaching in areas needing attention. Assures accountability at all levels in these activities.
  • Facilitates process safety analyses and compliance programs (LPP, SIS, OASIS, RCPHA, etc.). Drives gap identification and closure of PSF compliance gaps as defined in the compliance plans.
  • Develop an asset reliability program with actionable items and meet or exceed unit goals /site requirements.
  • Acts as the focal point responsible for coordination of overall cost tracking and compliance program for responsible accounts.
  • Leverages globally best practices in his/her field of expertise. Ensures implementation and application of MET (Most Effective Technology) for operating discipline, process control software and hardware. Works closely with technology center experts to achieve this.
  • Acts as primary contact with production planning personnel and relays production decisions to other operations personnel. Coaches/develops operator natural work teams, and encourages teamwork and focused participation by all members.

Production Leader Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree* in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 10 of years manufacturing experience with 5 of years of leadership experience as a Unit Leader or Operations Leader in a chemical manufacturing plant
  • Experience leading Turnarounds from the operational perspective in excess of $2 million
  • Proven experience delivering excellent EH&S results in a large chemical manufacturing process
  • Prior Olin experience preferred
  • Must be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) and possess a valid US Driver's license
