Job Summary: Research problems, plan solutions, recommends software and systems, at least at the functional level, and coordinates development to improve efficiencies. Liaison between internal employees, vendors, information technology professionals, Risk and Operations. Essential Functions:
- Identify, understand, and plan for organizational and human impacts of planned systems, and ensures that new technical requirements are properly integrated with existing processes and skill sets.
- Interacts with internal users to learn and document requirements that are then used to produce business requirements documents and improve efficiency in the group.
- Writes technical requirements.
- Interacts with designers to understand software limitations.
- Helps Information Technology professionals during system development, implementation ex: provide use cases, flowcharts or even testing/quality assurance testing.
- Documents requirements or contributes to user manuals.
- Responsible for developing cost analysis, design considerations, staff impact and making recommendations on where efficiencies can be implemented.
- Understands and agrees to abide by the policies and procedures established at Southside Bank.
- Responsible for complying with audit policies and procedures as they pertain to this position.
- Performs duties in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and related anti-money laundering laws, and in accordance with the Bank's Information Security Program.

Required Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four year College or University, or four to six years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Necessary Skills:
- Design thinking knowledge
- Creative problem solver, confident in proposing alternative approaches and unique perspectives.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write information and respond to questions from groups of managers and staff employees.

- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations; Intermediate personal computer skills, including electronic mail, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.

Physical Activity/Dexterity:
- Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with fingers. Works with fingers and perceives attributes of objects and materials.
Physical Environment Demands:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 90% of the time.
- The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to visit other offices, conference rooms, office machinery, etc.
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and telephone.
- Constantly positions self to operate on a computer.
- The person in this position frequently communicates with other people throughout each day. Must be able to exchange accurate information when conversing.
Working Conditions/Environment:
- Well-lighted, heated and/or air-conditioned indoor office setting with adequate ventilation.
- Moderate noise (e.g. business office with computers and printers, light traffic).
Work Schedule/Hours:
- Monday through Friday; 8:00am - 5:00pm.
- Available for overtime as needed.
