Fire Safety Specialist F_TEP-Campus Employees Temporary Employment 83308BR Job Summary The anticipated duration of this temporary assignment is approximately 1 year. The UCSF Office of Environment, Health and Safety (EH&S) provides expertise and resources to help the UCSF community maintain a safe workplace, ensure safe work practices, and preserve the environment. EH&S is responsible for the safety of all faculty, staff, students, patients, and visitors. EH&S also supports regulatory compliance for all campus workplace safety and environmental compliance issues including: biosafety, chemical safety, environmental protection, ergonomics, facilities safety, fire and life safety, industrial hygiene, radiation safety, laser safety, DEA controlled substance compliance, hazardous materials, spill response, food facility compliance and safety, safety training, personal protective equipment (PPE), asbestos, hazardous waste management, etc. The department also provides substantial safety and environmental program support to the UCSF Health System and several UCSF affiliates.

UCSF departments deploy temporary employees to work on special projects, fill in for regular employees who are on vacation or leave, or to temporarily fill a vacant position during recruitment.
