Providing for loved ones, planning rewarding retirements, saving enough for whatever lies ahead - our policyholders count on us to be there when it matters most. It's a big ask, but it's one that we have the power to deliver when we work together. We collaborate and innovate - pushing one another to transform not just Pacific Life, but the entire industry for the better. Why? Because it's the right thing to do. Pacific Life is more than a job, it's a career with purpose. It's a career where you have the support, balance, and resources to make a positive impact on the future - including your own.

We're actively seeking a talented Senior Compensation Consultant to join our Total Rewards team in Newport Beach, CA (preferred) or Omaha NE. This role is hybrid. We believe in empowering our employees to get work done both in and out of the office.

As a Senior Compensation Consultant you'll move Pacific Life, and your career, forward by helping us redefine how we deliver compensation on a global scale. Bring your diverse experiences, perspectives, and solutions to the team as we support a growing organization across a global landscape.

How you'll help move us forward:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact with assigned business lines to support all compensation needs, partnering with other experts across the enterprise as needed to deliver exceptional customer service.

  • Educate leaders, managers, and employees on the company's Total Rewards philosophy and key annual processes/timelines related to compensation, working in collaboration with the HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, and other Compensation team members.

  • Assist in the administration and delivery of annual compensation programs for merit, promotions, and bonus.

  • Leverage understanding of the assigned business lines and the associated talent pools to make informed recommendations on compensation decisions.

  • Lead review and structuring of candidate offers, job evaluations, and job leveling.

  • Support the annual compensation benchmarking process, working closely with the Compensation Programs team.

  • Develop and present Market studies and compensation analyses to stakeholders and broader team to drive informative insights.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and other related legal requirements. Support annual regulatory reporting and pay equity analysis.

  • Continuously assess the firm's programs relative to the market conditions and provide recommendations on positioning considering industry trends.

The experience you bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification, (e.g. CCP) preferred.

  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in compensation, preferably within the financial services industry.

  • Strong knowledge of compensation principles, practices, and regulations.

  • Proven experience in supporting compensation programs in a complex, fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization.

  • High level of integrity and confidentiality.

You can be who you are.
