Aon is looking for an Employee Experience Intern in Chicago, IL

We're looking for a motivated and creative Employee Experience Intern to join our team. This internship is hybrid and is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about employee experience, change management, and learning and development.

You will play an integral role in fostering a positive and engaging workplace culture by assisting with action planning, designing colleague experience initiatives, and supporting activities that improve organizational engagement and development.

This internship opportunity is to start in March 2025 and will last through the summer with the possibility of extending past September. This internship will have flexible hours during school months and will be 40 hours per week over the summer.

What the day will look like

  • Assist in developing and implementing employee experience initiatives that align with the company's goals and values.
  • Support the creation and execution of action plans based on employee feedback, surveys, or engagement results.
  • Organize and coordinate colleague experience activities, including events, workshops, and learning opportunities.
  • Collaborate with teams to research and recommend innovative approaches to enhance employee satisfaction and retention.
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of change management initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions for teams and individuals.
  • Assist with the development of learning and development programs and materials.
  • Monitor, track, and report on the effectiveness of employee experience efforts.
  • Perform administrative tasks and provide project support as needed.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Interest in employee experience, change management, and/or learning and development.
  • Juniors graduating between December 2025 - June 2026 with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Creative mindset with an eye for innovative solutions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar tools; familiarity with project management tools is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $24.00 - $30.00 hourly. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.

Aon offers a benefits package for temporary and seasonal employees who will work 20 or more hours per week including: medical, dental, and vision insurance at the employee's expense, critical illness insurance, 10 Company holidays per calendar year (paid, if eligible), paid sick leave as provided under state and local law, and a 401(k) savings plan with employer contributions. Eligibility for benefits are governed by the applicable plan documents and policies.
