Overview
The Vermont Agency of Digital Services is seeking an IT Systems Developer to join our Mainframe team. Duties involve systems analysis, design, development, testing, implementation and maintenance of new or existing software applications. The IT Systems Developer will:
The ideal candidate will be a person that is self-motivated, a quick learner and has experience working as part of a team. The work associated with this position involves being able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines while handling multiple tasks at once often dealing with changing requirements and feedback, so a potential candidate should have excellent time management and problem-solving skills. The candidate must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships and be able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Who May Apply

Work is performed in a standard office setting and there is significant interaction with users and members of project teams requiring some tact and diplomacy to balance competing views. Work outside of regular work schedule can be anticipated. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science; OR Associate's degree in computer science or college-level coursework that includes 15 computer science credits AND two (2) or more years of experience in computer or network support, programming or analysis, or database administration. OR Four (4) or more years of experience in computer or network support, programming or analysis, or database administration. Preferred Qualifications
Mainframe experience coding in Natural, JCL, and ADABAS. Special Requirements
