JOB SUMMARY

The Manager of ACC is responsible for the Airport Coordination Center Operation. The ACC Manager will be responsible for the ground coordination of various departments for successful departure performance in MSP and outstations as well as resource management for the station. The ACC manager and their team needs to identify performance trends for all operating departments, to identify leading indicators of improvement in on time performance. This position acts as the operations head of all departments to build a collaborative team approach to execute our plans to depart flights on time. Along with internal partnerships, the Manager of ACC is integral to the success of the MSP operation and often partners with external local and federal agencies to maintain relationships between the agency and Sun Country. This position is the key liaison with the network planning team to jointly build operable schedules that meet our revenue and operational needs, based on minimum ground standards. This position partners with the Senior Director of T2 to assist in staffing allocation needs per every schedule. This position acts as the central communications center for the T2 operation in partnership with the SOC. This position will be accountable for the safety, efficiency, operational standards, policy implementation, and financial performance of the ACC Operation at Terminal 2.

Oversight and Coordination:



  • Provide oversight for vendors working on behalf of Sun Country in T2.
  • Administer organizational policies and provide accountable oversight of all the duties and responsibilities of ACC operations.
  • Coordinate with government agencies to ensure appropriate staffing levels and flight schedule awareness.
  • Manage, track, and maintain performance metrics for all departments on Terminal 2 and outstations.
  • Act as the subject matter expert in the overall operation.


Operational Management:



  • Assist in the preparation of all daily operation-generated analysis6.
  • Assist with the development and monthly reviews of the department budget.
  • Daily operational tracking of performance, taking immediate action to correct any shortfalls.
  • Complete shift reports and sign timecards.
  • Prepare incident reports as needed for violations of company policy.
  • Follow safety regulations, including the proper use of ground service equipment and wearing proper safety PPE.


Collaboration and Communication:



  • Collaborate with the Airport Customer Service, Catering, and Ramp team to ensure processes are safe and efficient.
  • Aggregate delay data and communicate delays with appropriate departments to drive change and improvement.
  • Research and respond to delay disputes from other departments.
  • Audit gate assignments weekly and communicate efficiencies with the MODs.
  • Work in partnership with Network Planning on every schedule to ensure ground standards are met and the schedule is operable.
  • Coordinate with all operating departments to fully vet every schedule to meet the operational needs for Tech Ops and SOC, along with the MAC.
  • Liaison with the Charter team to cover any charter scheduling either at T2 or HQ.
  • Work closely with the Ops Analysis team to identify opportunities in the schedule to minimize holdouts, while using data to ensure poor-performing trends are addressed.


Leadership and Improvement:



  • Provide leadership for employee relations through effective communications, including coaching, discipline, and recognition.
  • Lead and collaborate on continuous improvement projects internally and with external departments.
  • Cover vacations and shortages within the ACC team.


Scheduling and Staffing:



  • Submit requests to maintain staffing levels in the ACC/Fuel Desk/MODs.
  • Build the ACC/Fuel Desk schedule to ensure coverage 24/7.
  • Build all the gate plots per schedule to optimize the ability to operate and minimize delays.
  • Coordinate IRROP weather events with the SOC to optimize the flight schedule.
  • Work with SOC operationally to address peak travel scheduling.
  • Work with the Regional Directors to ensure the operability of each schedule.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS



  • Two or more years of related experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work efficiently under time constraints.
  • Possess a valid driver's license.
  • Available to work varying shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.


PREFERRED SKILLS



  • Previous experience with managing flexible workforces.
  • Previous working experience with high volume Operations
  • Understanding of metering and throughput of an active weather event.
  • Bachelor's or associate degree


WORK ENVIRONMENT

This job operates indoors during a variety of shifts including weekends and holidays.

Must be able to obtain an MSP SIDA badge and customs seal.
