The Legal Group protects us against risks and provides the framework for our ethical andcompliant global business practices, enabling Lam to effectively navigate the landscape ofthe semiconductor industry. Their global government affairs team is responsible for advocatingon behalf of Lam with public policymakers.

The Impact You'll Make

The Legal Administrator supports Lam's Legal Department personnel, including attorneys, paralegals and other professionals. This includes but is not limited to performing administrative and clerical duties, such as developing and maintaining filing systems and preparing reports and other materials, as well as coordinating special projects and department activities. Work is of a critical or confidential nature and requires broad working knowledge of department and company practices and policies.

What You'll Do
  • Primary support responsibilities for members of designated teams, who may be local or working in other offices.In addition, site-specific assistance for people located at the Fremont site whose primary support works at another site.
  • New personnel onboarding including arrangement of telecom, network, and facility setups (US only).
  • On- and off-boarding of contractors, including arrangement of equipment delivery and setups.
  • SharePoint site management and/or support in managing SharePoint folders (e.g., delegations). Editing, formatting, proofreading, distributing and posting documents and other communications. Document and report copying, scanning, and uploading.
  • Coordinating intake of legal documents.
  • Assisting with production of documents (e.g. in response to subpoenas and litigation).
  • Assisting with maintenance of other file and information management systems, both physical and online (e.g. contract management and entity management platforms).
  • Cross-functional team participation as requested. Take team meeting minutes as requested for action-items and decisions-made tracking.
  • Purchase office supplies for onsite and remote professionals as needed.
  • Order/track new/refresh equipment (laptops, mobile phones).
  • Travel arrangements and coordination across regions, including assistance with immigration/customs documentation.
  • Executive expense report preparation and submittal.
  • Executive calendar management as requested, to include noting and resolving conflicts.
  • State bar membership dues, pay annually (US only).
  • Use Lam's electronic policies and procedures management system to manage Legal's policies and procedures.
  • Coordinating Legal training sessions.
  • Visitor sign in/greeting.
  • On-site assistance as needed for visitors from other offices.
  • Itinerary coordination with other sites as needed for traveling team members.
  • Department mailbox management in coordination with other legal department offices' admins. Management of small package shipments.
  • Occasionally lift/carry files and boxes to and from file storage cabinets and onsite locations.
Who We're Looking For
  • AA/AS in Business Administration or equivalent
  • 5 years applicable experience, preferably in a legal environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, Teams)
  • Knowledge of ERP system, with preference for SAP
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Strong written and oral English language communication skills
  • Team orientation, sense of humor, positive demeanor
  • Willingness and ability to work regularly at Fremont office location (this is not a work-from-home position)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent attention to detail, and follow through
  • Professional demeanor to interact with all levels within the organization and with external providers, customers, or government officials
  • Able to work under pressure and juggle multiple tasks from multiple supported individuals within tight deadlines
  • Willingness and ability to work early in morning or into the evening on occasion, when business urgency arises and/or communications with other time zones require it(Lam is a global company)
  • Strong team player with "can-do" attitude
  • Ability to take ownership of tasks and projects and exercise initiative - ask appropriate questions, understand the purpose, manage timelines, alert management to problems, make recommendations
  • Ability to occasionally lift and carry boxes, files, and office supplies, up to 25 lbs
  • Notary public or willingness to obtain commission certificate
  • Korean, Mandarin or Japanese language skills a plus

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories - On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. 'On-site Flex' you'll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. 'Virtual Flex' you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.

Salary

CA San Francisco Bay Area Salary Range for this position: $72,000.00 -$142,000.00.

The above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside or work onsite in the California, San Francisco Bay Area only. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Actual salary may vary from salary offered due to numerous factors including but not limited to unpaid time off, unpaid leave, company mandated shutdown, and other relevant factors.
