Experienced Electrical Engineer

Mead & Hunt, an award-winning national architecture and engineering firm, has continued to exceed our strategic growth initiatives creating opportunities for our current and prospective team members. As a result, we are currently looking for a highly motivated individual to join our Architecture & Building Engineering team as an Experienced Electrical Engineer.

Responsibilities include:

• Designing
• Low and medium voltage power systems
• Lighting systems and associated controls
• Fire alarm and mass notification systems
• Preparing construction plans and specifications of electrical systems
• Developing probable construction costs
• Providing construction administration and site visits
• Mentoring less experienced staff
• Some travel will be required

The successful candidate will have:

• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in electrical or architectural engineering from an accredited college or university
• At least five years of relevant electrical experience
• PE license in any state with the ability to obtain in other states

The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following:

• Designing low and medium voltage power, lighting systems and controls, fire alarm and detection systems
• Preparing construction document drawings using Revit
• Designing electrical systems using power design (EasyPower preferred)
• Using lighting calculations software (AGI32 preferred)
• Coordinating the preparation of construction document drawings and specifications
• Providing construction administration services and site visits related to electrical systems
• Mentoring less experienced engineers and designers

Salary Range: $110,000 to $130,000 - Actual compensation may vary due to other factors such as: experience, skill set or location.
