JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Penn State Berks, a college within the Pennsylvania State University located in Reading, PA, is seeking applicants for a position in Statistics and Mathematics beginning Fall 2025. This is a one-year position with the possibility of renewal. The Pennsylvania State University, Berks College, invites applications for a full-time Lecturer/Assistant Teaching Professor in Statistics and Mathematics beginning Fall 2025. The successful candidate's degree and experience will determine final rank of the position. There is a minimum requirement of a master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, or a closely related field. Candidates with Ph.D. degrees and college-level teaching experience will be prioritized. An interest or experience in working with Latinx students and/or community is highly desirable. Our student population is comprised of over 15% Latinx students, which is expected to keep growing in the coming years. Onsite teaching is an essential function of this job A demonstrated interest and commitment to undergraduate teaching is essential for this position. The candidate will be expected to teach courses primarily in Statistics, as well as Pre-Calculus/Calculus sequence courses to fulfill campus needs. The teaching load is 24 credits for the academic year.
