Overview
St. John Fisher University is an independent, liberal arts institution that provides a transformative education to approximately 3,800 undergraduate, master's, and doctoral students each year. Across its five Schools, Fisher offers nearly 40 majors in the humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, business, education, and nursing; 11 pre-professional programs; and master's and doctoral programs in business, nursing, education, pharmacy, and public health. The Wegmans School of Nursing produces nursing graduates trained to provide exceptional patient care. Program offerings include the traditional nursing and RN to BSN online programs at the undergraduate level, master's programs in nursing and mental health counseling, and a Doctor of Nursing Practice ( DNP) degree program. The School's graduate programs ranked No. 32 among the top nursing graduate programs in the country by U.S. News & World Report. Fisher nursing graduates consistently outpace their peers in passing the National Council Licensure Examination ( NCLEX) on their first attempt, placing them in the top five percent of all New York schools.
The baccalaureate, master's, and DNP programs at Fisher are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, and the mental health counseling program is accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs ( CACREP).

Job Responsibilities
Major responsibilities include: (1) instruction of master's level courses in a face-to-face format; (2) curriculum and program development; (3) student admissions and advisement; (4) cooperative work with agencies, schools, and the larger regional mental health community, and (5) service at the department and university levels. We welcome applicants with teaching and research expertise in any area relevant to clinical mental health counseling, and we will work with the successful candidate to create a teaching schedule that aligns with their training, experience, and interests. Education / Experience
Minimum Qualifications:
Candidates must have earned a masters degree in the area(s) of Mental Health Counseling and/or Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing prior to starting full-time employment at St. John Fisher. Additionally, candidates must be license-eligible to practice in New York and have supervisory and clinical experience in multiple clinical settings, display a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in teaching and clinical practice, and successful face-to-face teaching at the graduate level.
Preferred Qualifications:
The preferred qualifications for this position include 1) multiple years of successful teaching at the graduate level in both psychiatric nursing and counseling; 2) at least 5 years of licensure as a mental health practitioner, and 3) maintain national board certification to practice.

Salary / Hourly Range Non-Tenure Track Assistant Professor: $58,700 - $69,100.00 per year; Non-Tenure Track Associate Professor: $66,300.00 - $78,000.00 per year
