Summary Assist and support the Production Supervisor in coordinating activities and training of workers in the Production Department. Responsibilities:
Training of employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, addressing complaints, and resolving problems in the absence of the department supervisor.
Read, interpret, and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, weld symbols, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately create equipment and products.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Assist with overseeing the employees in the production departments. Carry out supervisory responsibilities, when necessary, in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. This includes but it not limited to: shift reporting, manning reports, disciplinary action, and communicating with leadership.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Must possess ASME welding certification.
Must possess in-house forklift certification.
Ability to obtain Manchester Tank's lockout/tagout certification.
Must be dependable and self-motivated.
Must possess good communication skills.
Be able to contribute to and support the existence of a positive work environment.
Can pay attention to the operations of the machinery.
Education and/or Experience
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, blueprints, tape measures,
operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers.

Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. There is a high noise level throughout the plant and hearing protection must always be worn during production. Wearing other proper protective equipment including metatarsal safety shoes and eye protection is always required while in the plant during production. Additional Information
