Position Summary:

The Senior Manager of Health & Wellness Insights will contribute to Grupo Bimbo's Purpose through the development of a deep and complex understanding of the H&W consumer, shopper, and healthy product white space.

Working closely with the H&W Portfolio VP as well as internal and external stakeholders, this team member will be a trusted advisor and champion of the H&W consumer and food space. The associate will define, oversee, and manage research methods, tools, converting the insights to actionable, inspiring output to drive timely decisions and successful innovation launches.

The position is responsible for displaying a consumer mindset to support and drive the business, including building formal frameworks and methodologies while leveraging existing resources to build brand equity and drive profitable growth.

The ideal candidate should be proficient in a variety of research techniques and suppliers, familiar with consumer methods to uncover implicit in addition to explicit drivers and needs and have an experienced approach to business decisions.

This position reports to the VP of H&W Portfolio, North America, but will also interact regularly with the Consumer Insights group within the Marketing Center of Excellence.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Become a key organizational expert on the H&W Consumer cohort. Help us to define the various H&W consumer profiles, identifying the nuances and opportunities to reach these various consumers.
  • Build and Champion the H&W Consumer Insights strategy and vision to deliver our needs for our growth goals.
  • Develop a research approach and analyze and synthesize results from consumer research studies, trends, syndicated data, market audits, along with other internal/external sources. Translate findings into business innovation insights and action plan.
  • Collaborate with key business partners (leadership, Global H&W Team, Corporate Strategy Team, Venture and M&A, Marketing, etc.) to identify insight needs, develop customized solutions, align to what we need to know, and build to answers and outcomes, translating these business needs into research plans.
  • Create clear and inspiring presentations highlighting insights work and bringing H&W selling stories to life.
  • Create streamlined reports using various sources, compiling results into a concise, meaningful, actionable format.
  • Demonstrated mastery of syndicated data systems and other data sources to incorporate into evidence-based innovation recommendations and plans.

Excellent persuasive communication skills, written, verbal, and presentation. Ability to multi-task, organize time, and lead groups with minimal direction.
  • Organized: Possesses strong Project Management skills and can juggle multiple projects. Can take strategic plans and map out a path to achieving them.

Education and Work History:

Bachelor's degree in business, psychology, social studies, anthropology, or similar. Master's degree preferred.

  • 7+ years in consumer insights/analytics, preferably in innovation, showing career progression); 10+ years preferable.
  • Demonstrated mastery of innovation from business growth goals to strategy, to innovation project prioritization/selection, idea development for all launch touchpoints, setting of launch metrics (year 1-2), all while driving alignment.
  • Demonstrated mastery of syndicated data systems and ability to incorporate insight into fact-based presentations / recommendations.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills with the ability to generate innovative ideas and business insights from diverse data sources. Some experimentation / project experience using Gen AI assisted tools preferred.
  • Computer skills and proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel, and other software/applications.
  • Domestic Travel: 10-20%.
