Main Duties & Responsibilities
Company:
RSA provides flight-critical components and assemblies for the
commercial, defense and business jet markets. RSA designs and produces
custom-engineered high pressure/high-temperature ducting assemblies for each
customer's specific performance requirements. RSA's Peri-SealTM is one of the most sought-after connectors
in the aerospace industry. Additionally, RSA designs and produces flexible
joints and hoses, ozone converters and many complex assemblies to meet
stringent customer needs.
Principal Duties
and Responsibilities:
Summary of job duties is to plan, organize, facilitate and direct
continuous improvement functions for various business Value Streams. Analyze, design and/or improve manufacturing
and/or office processes while working closely with engineering.
Essential duties
and responsibilities:
Coordinate or facilitate strategic initiative that will aid in improvement or implementation of new systems, processes, services or cost-effective solutions.
Assist in planning and conducting and/or developing work on complex projects requiring the origination, scope, validation and application of new and unique approaches.
Lead, facilitate and participate in various Kaizen events (i.e. VSM, TPI, PSK, SMED, SWfF, PCK, 3P, and FFV), and drive identification, implementation and monitoring of improvements.
Lead, facilitate and coach continuous improvement teams to find root causes and/or actionable items using lean manufacturing tools.
Develop and manage Site CI Roadmap to monitor and track success in terms of stated goals.
Lead DM cadence to identify trends, and use 80/20 principles to lead improvement initiatives to support customer and business requirements. Work with each function to implement dashboards and KPI's to drive operational excellence.
Partner with various business functions to implement 5S and Visual Factory best-practices throughout the facility.
Other activities and projects as assigned.
The pay scale for this position ranges from $70,000-$120,000 annually.
Qualifications
Minimum Education
and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business and 2-4 years working in a
lean manufacturing environment.
Proficient in all Microsoft applications, understanding lean
manufacturing concepts and 5S, and previous participation in various Kaizen
events. Supervisory experience is preferred.
Essential Physical/ Mental Abilities Required:
Must
be able to read, write and speak English, individual is required to sit for
long periods of time, occasionally required to walk, stoop, use hands to finger
(keyboard), talk and hear. The employee
will occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
