Intercollegiate Athletics Job Description
The Assistant Director of Marketing and Community Engagement will serve as the point of contact for the Mizzou Athletics Department to enhance community and student involvement. This will include comprehensive marketing, social media, advertising and promotional planning tactics, in addition to working with coaches, strategic communications, creative services, event management and tickets sales/operations to accomplish these goals. Duties will include: Developing and implementing marketing, branding and promotional plans for student ZOU Passes. Increasing awareness, attendance and revenue within the athletic department's external community. Planning and executing community outreach and grassroots marketing campaigns to create excitement for Mizzou Athletics. Thinking creatively to find unique ways to enhance Mizzou's place in the community and continue to grow its brand. Engaging with the University of Missouri student body to identify creative ways to increase student attendance at Mizzou Athletics' events. Cultivating relationships with campus partners to identify mutually beneficial programming for Mizzou students around home athletic events. Contacting and cultivating relationships with all 58 fraternity and sororities affiliated with the University of Missouri. Assisting in advertising and social media strategies to engage fans and to build the Mizzou Athletics brand. Collaborating with assigned sports and other external units of the athletics department to ensure cohesive messaging across all platforms. Preparing and executing detailed marketing approaches using video content, community events, storytelling and other resources to deliver a high-quality fan experience for assigned sports. Managing select marketing and fan engagement programs such as Kids Club and memorabilia requests. Other duties as assigned. Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm; Nights and Weekends as required by game schedules. Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Marketing, Sport Administration or a related field Anticipated Hiring Range
