Job Description

Job Summary: The Fire Sprinkler Systems Coordinator is responsible for the coordination, management, and performance of Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance (ITM) of fire sprinkler systems throughout the campus. This role includes scheduling, facilitating, and reporting on fire sprinkler service outages, as well as supporting Facility Operations staff in troubleshooting and performing corrective measures. The Coordinator will evaluate the current ITM program, develop plans to expand self-performed scope, reduce reliance on outside contractors, and manage staff and time edits. Additionally, the Coordinator will develop fire sprinkler capital repair plans, make recommendations for improvements, and coordinate/implement approved projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate, manage, and/or perform ITM of fire sprinkler systems throughout the campus.
  • Facilitate repairs as required.
  • Schedule, facilitate, and report on fire sprinkler service outages.
  • Evaluate the current ITM program and develop plans to expand self-performed scope and reduce reliance on outside contractors.
  • Support Facility Operations staff in troubleshooting and performing corrective measures.
  • Develop fire sprinkler capital repair plans, make recommendations for improvements, and coordinate/implement approved projects.
  • Manage staff and time edits.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Shift

7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Monday through Friday

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 4 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a related field, from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired.
  • Valid driver's license is required.
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills.
  • Ability to evaluate and improve ITM programs.
  • Experience in managing projects and staff.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills.
Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 yearly

Grade: GGS-010
