Microsurgery Fellowship - Plastic Surgery

Job Summary:

The University of Colorado Breast Microsurgery Fellowship includes a combination of didactic and clinical teaching in the operating room and clinical settings. Fellows will be assigned on a rotating basis to work with attending surgeons in plastic surgery at the University of Colorado Hospital and affiliate locations.

This program offers broad training opportunities for developing advanced microsurgical skills and expertise, with a focus on comprehensive breast reconstruction. The fellowship is a one-year position as an Instructor Fellow. For microsurgical cases, the fellow will work closely with experienced microsurgeons who will serve as mentors and supervisors. In addition to holistic breast reconstruction exposure, the fellowship will encompass broad training in all areas of microsurgery including lymphatic reconstruction.

Our faculty will be closely involved in your training, while still giving you the opportunity to gain independence. You will participate not only as a trainee, but also as a teacher. As a fellow, you will work closely with residents in plastic surgery and with medical students.

Program Credentials: This is a non-ACGME accredited fellowship.

Work Location:

Onsite - this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, CO and occasionally in Denver, CO.

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

• Be eligible for a Colorado medical license
• Have completed an ACGME-accredited plastic surgery residency program
• Be eligible for American Board of Plastic Surgery certification

Anticipated Pay Range:

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:

Post Graduate Year 6: $94,717

Post Graduate Year 7: $99,663

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
