What you'll do with "Our Training and Your Experience"

Responsibilities include planning, scheduling, organizing and directing, application engineering, field installation and start-up of assigned projects. Ensures projects are effectively executed within budgeted cost and time schedules and ensure positive cash flow. In addition, position is key interface with the customer and responsible for maximizing customer satisfaction, safety, and quality assurance on all assigned projects.

  • Manages and coordinates all aspects of large projects from award through completion including overall site management of project(s) for successful and timely completion within budget as required by the contract. Can handle multiple projects simultaneously. Prepares project execution plans, manages the plan and prepares and implements job procedures.
  • Translates customer requirements into detailed proposals and project execution plans. Provides technical assistance to sales, supervises design engineering and installation, prepares schedules and invoices, prepares subcontractor RFPs and manage subcontracts, and supports collections.
  • Proactively communicates project requirements to project team and wider organization as and when required and maintains accurate and up to date records of job status, job changes, material flow and other control records necessary for processing of internal and external reports.
  • Acts as "our customer's best service provider" at all times thereby ensuring Convergint Technologies is the customer's first choice for service.
  • Identifies potential project risks and develops/implements strategies to minimize impact and control deviations from estimated costs and project deadlines. Evaluates current systems for cost reduction and product improvement.
  • Proactively develops and communicates project plans, schedules, project change proposals and related project activities on a regular basis with project stakeholders and seek to continuously improve customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinates the procurement of materials, supplies, services and controls necessary for timely and cost-effective completion of project within budget.
  • Establishes milestones, analyzes costs, reviews actual vs. estimated job costs, and adjusts project plans as needed.
  • Manages the execution and review of all scope of work, terms and conditions in customer contracts including cost control, delivery fulfillment, and quality of service and other customer requirements as they arise.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.

Requirements:

Education: College degree, trade school or equivalent experience

Minimum Experience: 7-10 years relevant engineering, field service or project management



  • 5 years supervisory


Preferred Experience: (but not required):



  • Experience in 1 or more of the following industries: electronic, fire alarm & life safety, and/or building automation
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
