Develop, implement, and maintain new and improved manufacturing systems to improve registration as it relates to printed circuit boards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining new and/or improved manufacturing systems, processes, methods, equipment, strategies, technologies, and facilities in order to improve registration and produce products within a reasonable schedule and budget.
• Interest in raw materials, layer processing, post etch punch, lamination, mechanical drilling, drilling laser drilling processes and imaging methods.
• Ensures cost-effective design, installation, and method of transfer, monitoring and modifying of manufacturing processes.
• Resolve problems in processes and materials.
• Evaluate alternative approaches to manufacturing if a product, as designed, cannot meet registration requirements.
• Interface with internal and external customers, suppliers and/or equipment vendors to resolve manufacturing issues.
• Develop budgets for capital equipment, product start-up and development projects.
• Develop project plans for implementation of new processes, existing process modification and capacity improvements and throughput enhancements.
• Perform cost/benefit analysis on new and existing manufacturing process improvement opportunities.
• Perform manufacturing capacity analysis on manufacturing processes and provides with CPK indicies.
• Develop experiments to diagnose and correct manufacturing problems utilizing statistically valid methodologies.
• Identify yield improvement opportunities and leads the development of action plans to improve yields.
• Perform defect characterization analysis to construct root cause effect relationships for defect reduction leading to yield enhancements.
• Provide critical process/parameters data for FMEA manufacturing tables.
• Participate in project implementation and defect reduction teams.
• Provide investigation, analysis, containment and solutions for yield excursion in management.
• Document all tests and process changes - permanent and temporary - through a change control system that is ISO compliant.

Knowledge: Knowledge of the entire PCB manufacturing process, including the manufacturing process flow, a thorough understanding of individual production process steps. Knowledge of tooling and artwork generation. Performs varied assignments of a professional engineering nature requiring full use of application of scientific principals, theories, concepts, and techniques.

Skill in: Basic drawing / blueprint interpretation skills. Preferred but not required experience with MATLAB, proficient in statistics, and a very high proficiency in EXCEL applications. Assists in providing work direction for technicians and less senior engineers.

Ability to: Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization. Ability to lead others through problem solving and decision-making processes. Follow procedures with general supervisory instructions.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent experience is preferred .
• 5 years experience in related field. Printed Circuit board Experience a plus.
• Highly technical communications capabilities are necessary to successfully exchange with suppliers, customers, and internal functions

Compensation for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. As required by local law, TTM provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that my be hired in New York, California and Colorado. For California-based roles, compensation ranges are based upon specific physical locations.
