Strongbridge is recruiting for a Human Resources (HR) Generalist / Office Manager. The HR Generalist portion of the role entails responsibility for providing comprehensive HR and admin support across a range of functions, including recruitment/onboarding, training and development, compliance, benefits, performance management, employee morale/events and employee communication. This individual will serve as a key point of contact for employees and management, ensuring HR programs and processes align with organizational goals and foster a positive work environment. The Office Manager portion of the role requires a blend of administrative, managerial, and organizational skills to assist management and back-office staff with recurring and ad-hoc tasks, and to facilitate office operations. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, personable, organized, and detail-oriented with excellent communication skills, and an ability to multitask and problem solve. This position will be part of a small back-office team reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer.

Anticipated Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Recruitment & Onboarding. Assist with job postings, candidate screening, interview scheduling and coordination, and updating applicant tracking system (ATS). Help facilitate smooth onboarding processes for new employees.
  • Training & Development. Coordinate and facilitate employee training programs to support professional development. Assist in identifying training needs and developing tailored learning solutions.
  • Compliance & Reporting. Help ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws, including maintaining accurate records and updating policies and procedures. Assist with audits, surveys, and HR reporting as needed. Maintain and update employee records in HRIS and other systems.
  • Benefits. Assist in the administration of employee benefits programs, including open enrollment, claims resolution, invoices, and education. Support payroll processing by providing timely and accurate employee information.
  • Performance Management. Assist managers and employees through the performance review process, offering support and training as needed. Monitor and document employee performance and provide recommendations for corrective actions or development opportunities.
  • Employee Morale, Events, Communication (Other Duties). Participate in HR projects and initiatives to improve efficiency, engagement, and organizational culture. Provide support for company events and engagement activities.
  • Office Manager. Manage and route office mail. Monitor/inventory and manage/restock office supplies and needs. Facilitate event registrations/payments and travel arrangements for corporate and company staff.
  • Accounting Support. Support the back-office team in areas such as accounts payable and accounts receivable with such tasks as weekly check run filing, credit card reconciliation and backup, purchase requisition lifecycle (creating, printing/filing, executing), and coordinating invoice approvals.



Required Skills:



  • 2-4 years of experience in HR or related roles
  • Solid understanding of HR practices, labor laws, and regulations
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems (preferably Bamboo HR) and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills with a high level of confidentiality and discretion
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Enthusiastic, proactive, independently motivated, and organized



Desired Skills:



  • Degree or certification(s) in Human Resources
  • Experience developing and giving trainings
  • Accounting experience including general ledger accounts and cost pool accounting



Pay Range: $70k-$75k

The posted pay range reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity.
