Assistant Professor of Audiology (in Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery) at the Columbia University Medical Center

The Department of Otolaryngology/Head & Neck Surgery at Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons is seeking an Audiologist at the Assistant Professor level. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing diagnostic services at a busy ENT center, primarily at the Westchester practice location, with occasional travel required to the New York City practice location. Diagnostics will include complete audiometric evaluations, vestibular testing and electrophysiological testing. Hearing aid evaluation, dispensing and management within the center will also be expected. Focus will be with adult patients, but not limited to this population. Applicant will become part of a team of physicians and audiologists that work closely together to diagnose and treat their patients.

Individuals will practice in the University hospital setting. Educational opportunities include teaching medical students, ENT residents, and, supervision of audiology student clinicians. Research opportunities in clinical setting will be available.

Minimum Degree Required:



  • Doctor of Audiology


Minimum Qualifications:



  • All applicants MUST meet these minimum qualifications to be considered for the position.
  • Applicants must be licensed in the State of New York as an Audiologist and possess a Hearing Aid Dispensary license in New York.
  • Minimum education requirement is a Doctorate of Audiology.
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (active)


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Ideal applicant will have the following skill set: complete audiometric evaluation, administering and interpreting vestibular testing; evaluation for implantable devices, fitting hearing aids
