Job Summary

Staff Associate I wanted with an interest in data management and neuroimage processing in the context of cognitive aging. This position will provide experience in advanced neuroimaging analysis on modalities including Diffusion MRI (DTI), high-resolution structural images, resting BOLD fMRI, FLAIR, and tau and amyloid PET. The position will also involve processing of non-imaging data such as behavioral task data, neuropsychological test data, genetics, and lifestyle information. This position is ideal for anyone considering future graduate study in cognitive neuroscience, biomedical engineering, and related fields.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:



  • Importing, reconstructing, and quality checking neuroimaging data.
  • Editing and writing bash and Python scripts to batch process MRI data using software such as FSL, FreeSurfer, SPM, and MRtrix.
  • Performing statistical image analyses using neuroimaging software, Matlab, Bash, and Python.
  • Data management of non-imaging data


Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in specific research field and 4 years experience preferred

Preferred Qualifications



  • At least 1.5 years of experience programming in Python and familiarity with general scripting.
  • Familiarity with the linux environment.
  • Experience with using command-line based scientific software packages
  • Background in image processing, neuroscience, or cognitive psychology


Other information



  • There will be opportunities for presentations at professional conferences and research publications.
  • Interview will include a simple scripting test in any script of choice (python, MATLAB, bash, etc.).
