The suitable candidate will either be a Core Solutions Engineer or a RAN Solutions Engineer. Core Solutions Engineer will contribute to IP V4/V6, Fire Walls, Cloud Core technologies, such as Nokia NCS or OCP with a focus on design/deploy/integrate SDM and troubleshoot complex issues in a lab environment in real-time. RAN Solutions Engineer will execute 5G/4G Device/Chipset interoperability testing with 5G4G Base Stations and/or support PoC/Integration/Deployment of E2E 5G/4G test solutions.



  • Core Solutions Engineer:
    • Review target Telco Cloud solutions
    • Experience with SDL/PGW/SDLA/HSS/UDM operation, configuration and troubleshooting, Subscriber Provisioning in a lab environment
    • Strong experience and understanding of 4G,5G Cellular Networks (LTE, NR in Core domain)
    • Expert level competence with Protocols like SIP, Diameter, LDAP, TCP/IP/SCTP, UDP, SOAP, HTTP2, SS7, M3UA, 5G Signaling Protocols
    • Prior experience with design/deploy/integration of Network Functions in Nokia and RedHat Cloud Core solutions is a plus
    • Good knowledge and in Open Stack administration and Docker, K8S concepts and its application in Could Native products
    • Expert level Certificates in Public Clouds/K8S would be plus
    • Willing to learn new technologies and domain associated with telecommunications
    • Advanced troubleshooting and debugging skills
  • RAN Solutions Engineer:
    • Review Test Plans efficiently and estimate time/lab resources requirements to execute them
    • Install, commission, and configure base station software to support advanced LTE and evolving 5G features
    • Perform interoperability testing (IOT) with OEM/Chipset vendors in Nokia lab
    • Perform staging/testing/support activities for E2E 5G/4G test solutions deployed at customer sites
    • Fault investigation/reporting which includes cooperation with other teams
    • Analyze DM/base station logs to troubleshoot interop or network issues. Typical tools include: QXDM, Wireshark (5G and 4G), EMIL, Sys Logs, Sherpa, etc.
    • Timely reporting test results and summary reports for each test campaign in a customer presentable form
    • Prepare notes throughout the test cycles to enables others in the team
    • Provide training to team members on new features/test equipment as needed and enable rest of the team
  • Minimum BS in Engineering
  • A strong individual contributor with 5+ years of 5G/4G Core solutions or RAN testing experience in 5G/4G Wireless Domain
  • Excellent Knowledge of 3gpp call flows of 5G/4G and IP routing and/or telco cloud solutions
  • Good understanding of E2E 5G/4G architecture and implementations
  • Hands-on cloud core experience with subscriber configuration management, operations and troubleshooting complex use cases
  • Hands-on RAN experience with base station logs analysis tools, such as EMIL, Sherpa, Syslogs, is a plus
  • Hands-on experience with Wireshark and DMs
  • Strong analytical and debugging skills in troubleshooting 5G/4G RAN
  • Excellent Listening Skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated to learn the skills needed and get tasks completed efficiently and with high quality
  • Proven excellent team player in a diverse team
  • No Relocation
