This role provides a unique opportunity to lead high-impact projects and mentor a talented team of coastal engineers. Be at the forefront of designing sustainable and resilient coastal solutions that address challenges such as climate change and sea level rise.

Responsibilities include:

• Work with the coastal experts across GRAEF offices in project oversight, including setting priorities and developing objectives, and project financial management as well as the ability to serve as a technical resource for a multi-disciplinary team.
• Project engineering and management, client management, making fluent presentations and client development activities.
• Prepare contracts and technical documents.
• Conduct field work including inspection and observations.
• Participate in professional societies, with involvement and attendance at professional conferences and summits.
• Technical leadership of design of coastal projects in the Florida region.
• Business development and project development processes, such as marketing activities, conference participation, client development, and proposal development.

We are considering Coastal Engineer candidates who meet the following basic qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Coastal Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience completing design calculations for coastal engineering projects such as seawall design, beach nourishment, coastal structures, coastal restoration, drainage and flood control and coastal impact assessments.
• Project Management experience.
• Professional registration as a PE.
• Strong coastal engineering technical skills in coastal processes and design software like AutoCAD Civil 3D (GIS and hydrodynamic modeling experience a plus).
• Good communication skills and a proven track record interacting with clients and internal team members.
