SUMMARY

Mortenson is currently seeking a marketing specialist to add to our Sports + Entertainment group. This role supports a cross-functional sales and marketing team and requires a well-rounded skill set in marketing communications, with an emphasis in graphic design. A partner to marketing leadership, this role is focused on technical and visual excellence and maintaining brand standards. This role is responsible for elevating the positioning of our services and equipping the business development team to successfully interact with targeted customers, providing effective communications for each step of the customer journey.

Sports construction is a fast-paced, deadline driven industry. Success in this role requires excellent attention to detail, a self-starter mentality, and a high degree of adaptability. This position description is not a comprehensive list of duties and responsibilities, which are ever evolving in this exciting and challenging environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Create high-quality proposal deliverables that translate key value messaging into high-impact visual storytelling
  • Develop pursuit-specific graphics such as process visualizations and launch plans
  • Proactively update and maintain evergreen assets and templates, such as organizational charts, team member resumes, project profiles and case studies
  • Maintain efficient marketing processes, record keeping systems and asset management
  • Coordinate the creative design and production of various sales and marketing deliverables including:
  • Sales support communication materials (tear sheets, brochures, collateral, presentation graphics)
  • Advertising and promotions (videos, website, digital ads and social media, events)
  • Coordinate project site marketing
  • Project websites and site signage
  • Photography/video production (testimonials, etc.)
  • Milestone event promotion (groundbreaking, topping off, ribbon-cutting, etc.)
  • Award submissions

  • Planning, organizing and executing projects from inception through completion - owning the process and coordinating all tasks and resources needed while aligning stakeholders
  • Bolstering business strategy through impactful, value-driven visual communication, understanding differentiation and leveraging resources to maximize impact
  • Absorbing information and connecting dots across important functions, teams, best practices and relevant messaging, to proactively support business growth and team member experience

QUALIFICATIONS


  • Strong command of design principles and expert utilization of Adobe Creative Suite
  • Proficiency in business writing and AP style
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design, marketing, communications, journalism or a related field
  • 1 - 3 years of experience in marketing/visual communications
  • B2B experience is strongly preferred
  • Photography/videography skills a plus

The base pay range for this role is hourly $27.93 to $37.69. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL - 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR - 10%, Washington, D.C. - 12.5%).

Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.
