Essential Functions Design, support, configure, and install controller based Wireless LAN. Design, support, configure, and install wired LAN. Design, support, configure, and install firewall solutions. Perform analysis on network/system applications. Identify, diagnose, and resolve connection, reliability, or performance issues. Partner with key vendors to obtain and maintain required certifications. Ability to work independently. Home office is located in New Jersey. Ability to manage projects and work with application staff to configure systems. Perform the engineering, configuration, installation, maintenance/support, and upgrade of wireless and wired networks. experience with such technologies as Radius, DHCP, DNS, OSPF a bonus experience with Aruba wireless LAN and HPE wired LAN or comparable solution a bonus experience with Palo Alto firewall or comparable firewall solution a bonus Looking for a Field Engineer to support various clients in the tri-state area (Primarily NJ) with support and project work involving wireless and wired LANs, switches, firewalls, application performance, etc. About 85% of their clients are in New Jersey. All travel is reimbursable. You could use your own vehicle or you'll have access to a company car. Travel Requirements 70% travel in the Tristate area 10% travel to other areas You will spending your time at the office in Sayreville, NJ, onsite at client sites in the tri-state area, and also working from home. A lot of their clients are school districts and K-12 schools so the shift for this role from September - June (the school year) will be* 3 pm* - 11 pm.- Skills networking, Switches, Firewalls, Wireless LAN, Wired LAN, Aruba Wireless, Palo Alto firewalls 401(k), medical, dental and life insurance. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or related area (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university; and/or 6+ years related network experience and/or training. Experience with wired and wireless networks preferred. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $110000.00/yr. 3% matching on 401k Medical, Dental benefits Paid Time off Reimbursement for travel and access to a company car if needed Workplace Type This is a hybrid position in Sayreville,NJ.
