Essential functions of this position include the following. Resident Services Management
- Serve as
the primary point of contact for resident transfers. - Develop,
implement, and oversee services that support the physical, emotional, and social well-being of residents. - Serve as
the primary point of contact for residents and their families regarding non-medical concerns, ensuring timely and compassionate responses to questions or issues. - Monitor
and assess resident satisfaction through surveys, feedback sessions, and personal interactions, implementing improvements as necessary.
Leadership and Collaboration
- Manage a
team consisting of Front Desk services, transportation services, educational programming services and administrative services. - Collaborate
with Environmental Services, Culinary and Resident Engagement for Campus-wide annual events to ensure seamless delivery of services. - Coordinate
with the clinical team and Wellness Nurse to support resident transitions and conduct comprehensive resident reviews. - Partner
with the Wesley Community Foundation to manage initiatives related to the Bishop McConnell Fund and Circle of Concern, ensuring prompt and thorough follow-through on all responsibilities.
Program Development
- Create
and oversee wellness, educational, cultural, and recreational programs tailored to the interests and needs of the resident population.
- Partner
with external organizations and community resources to provide additional services and opportunities for residents. - Evaluate
and adjust programs based on resident participation, feedback, and evolving needs.
Compliance and Documentation
- Ensure
compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to resident services and senior living. - Maintain
accurate records in Point Click Care to include documentation of communications and concerns from other departments regarding residents. - Support emergency
preparedness and safety initiatives, ensuring staff and residents are informed and trained appropriately.
Budget and Resource Management
- Participate
in development and manage of departmental budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources. - Identify
and pursue opportunities for cost savings without compromising service quality.
Our requirements and qualifications for success
- Bachelor's degree in social work, gerontology, healthcare
administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred. - Minimum of 5 years of experience in resident services, senior
living, or a related field, including 3 years in a leadership role. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills; strong writing
skills. - Proven ability to lead and inspire a diverse team.
- Exceptional problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Knowledge of aging processes, senior services, and relevant
regulations. - Experience working in a continuing care retirement community setting.
- Occasional evening or weekend hours may be required for events or
emergencies.
