Reporting to the Operations Manager, our Director of Dining Services at Brookside Elementary plays a key role within the larger Cranbrook School District dining program. This position oversees food service operations for Brookside Elementary, a single-building school serving 500 students, faculty, and staff in a family-style dining environment. Leading a team of 8 union hourly associates, this highly client-facing role involves close collaboration with faculty, staff, and administration to ensure outstanding service. Responsibilities include ordering, inventory management, allergy management, and maintaining smooth daily operations. Typical hours are Monday through Friday, 5:30 AM to 3:00 PM, with only three weekend days required annually. As a vital part of a broader district team, this position is ideal for an experienced leader with a passion for creating memorable dining experiences. Strong leadership and organizational skills are critical, along with expertise in allergy management and effective communication. Shown experience in food service and team management is a must. Additionally, the Director of Dining Services will oversee dining for the school's summer camp program, ensuring a seamless experience year-round. Key Responsibilities:
