Job Summary:

The Animal Care Assistant (Part-time) will provide timely support for the organization and management of any third-party audit(s). This individual will be responsible for maintaining up-to-date records of all the Company's internal auditing. The Animal Care Assistant will aid in overseeing and maintaining the documentation of the organization's Food Safety & Animal Care Program.Additionally, the Animal Care Assistant will provide physical and organizational support for ongoing research projects taking place in the plant facilities and on farms, while accurately recording data and results within corresponding databases.

Essential Functions, Duties & Responsibilities:

* Assists in scheduling third party audits.

* Organizes historical Quality Assurance (QA) records.

* Maintains a database of current Animal Care audits.

* Provides support with administrative tasks within the QA and Animal Care & Well-being teams.

* Serves as a liaison between the QA team and other departments by facilitating effective communication as it relates to business need (e.g., audits).

* Provides support for ongoing QA projects in plant facilities and on the farms.

* Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with impressive presentation abilities.

* Exceptional ability to organize and manage tasks.

* Strong time management abilities.

* Capable of independently accomplishing assigned tasks.

* Ability to follow workplace, food safety, biosecurity, and animal care policies/procedures.

* Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, statistics, and their applications.

* Use scientific rules and methods to solve problems.

* Conduct tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.

* Proficient in Microsoft Suites applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and computer-based training.

Education & Experience:

* Bachelor's degree preferred.

Working Conditions:

* Standing for prolonged periods of time.

* Gripping, grasping, or twisting using hands and wrists.

* Bending and/or stooping repetitively throughout the duration of shift.

* Working with live animals in a farm environment.

* Ability to travel up to 15% of the time; may require frequent travel to the North Carolina regions based on business need.

* Reliable transportation & a valid driver's license are required.

* Responsible to maintain an internet service that supports all functions required to perform their job outside of Butterball's traditional workspace. Service must support Teams for Business, screen sharing, video, when necessary, Office 365, SharePoint, Share Drive access, cell phone signal, or other systems required to support company systems and to work effectively.
