At Central Plateau Cleanup Company (CPCCo), located in Richland, Washington, we are working to provide a sustainable future for the historic Hanford area through the protection of the Columbia River and the remediation of the Central Plateau. As an Environmental Scientist, under direct supervision job duties include, but are not limited to the following:

* Supports the Environmental Compliance group within the Waste Projects & Operations project.

* Under supervision, the individual will support environmental performance activities at RCRA TSDs, including compliance matrix preparation, preparation of procedure changes to support environmental performance activities, reporting, and implementation of environmental requirements.

* Assist in preparation and/or review of CERCLA environmental documentation, RCRA closure documents and other regulatory documents as assigned.

* With assistance, the individual will also support facility walkdowns to ensure permit and procedural compliance prior to customer and regulator inspections.

* Using the Integrated Contractor Assurance System document issues and concerns and assist in the development and implementation of corrective actions.


Basic Qualifications


Early Career Level Grade 14: Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline or related technical degree.

Early Career Level Grade 15: Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline or related technical degree with 1 or more years of relevant experience.

The higher posted level has greater scope, complexity, authority, impact. The level offered to the selected candidate will be based on the needs of the company and the candidate's education, training, and/or experience.


Desired Qualifications


* Familiarity with the following federal regulations: RCRA, CERCLA, CAA.

* Proficient in Microsoft programs Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Power BI.


Compensation & Benefits


In accordance with the CPCCo salary determination process, CPCCo takes into consideration the level of assigned job duties and responsibilities, and the candidate's education, training, and/or experience relative to internal peers and the external labor market. CPCCo will not solicit salary history for candidates.

Expected annualized pay range based on full time schedule (40 hours per week):

* Grade 14:$78,500 - $91,975.

* Grade15: $80,225 - $101,175.

In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for variable pay awards.
