Required Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources/related field and two or more years of work experience in Human Resources/related field OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) is required.
- High attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks is required.
- Must have excellent communication, time management, and organization skills.
- Able to perform basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, divide, multiply).
- Able to communicate (both written & verbal) and work well with all employees at all levels, willingness to learn new processes and work with limited supervision.
- While primarily a Monday thru Friday day shift role, flexibility for off-shift and weekends should be understood as necessary for work completion.
Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
- Previous Human Resource Information System (HRIS) knowledge or experience is preferred.
- Fluent in English; any other language is a plus (such as Spanish).
- SHRM certification is a plus.
- Previous manufacturing experience in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment is preferred.
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintains and/or adjusts data entries regarding pay rates, job codes, department numbers, supervisor codes, schedule codes, employment statuses, etc. in HR systems. Ensures all required documentation and approvals are obtained.
- Accurately keeps HR systems and employee files updated.
- Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of employee files and other HR records.
- Liaise between applicants, employees, supervisors, managers, and other Company personnel to resolve concerns while fostering a positive work environment.
- Assists employees with employment related inquiries.
- Supports employee relations activities as needed.
- Monitors leaves of absence such as short-term disability, long-term disability, Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and parental leave.
- Administers ADA accommodation process.
- Monitors and maintains accurate recordkeeping of paid time off balances such as vacation, sick time, and personal holiday. Ensures compliance with Time Off Policies.
- Assist in the recruitment process, including maintaining current and accurate job descriptions, and facilitating on-site interviews.
- Administers internal job posting process.
- Monitors, tracks, and processes referral bonuses payments, safety glasses reimbursement, safety shoe reimbursement, IT user requests, onboarding tasks, department of labor reemployment claim requests, and donation requests.
- Proactively identifies opportunities to improve employee morale, reduce turnover, and improve absenteeism. Works with HR team to develop engagement and retention activities.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Implements, sponsors, and supports all continuous reliability improvement standards and practices.
