TEKsystems has a client that is seeking a Junior Systems Administrator: Responsible for administration of all corporate IT systems, including enterprise applications, databases, operating systems, enterprise hardware and facilities. Responsible for incident management of system and user generated events. Responsible for application component build and deployment. Provide event, incident, and problem management for IT systems. Installs, configures, and administers IT systems. Assists other team members in other areas as needed. Ensure that systems are compliant within required security standards and controls. Participate in the design of information and operational support systems. Liaise with vendors and other IT support personnel for problem resolution. Experience with Enterprise Resource and Planning (ERP) applications. Develop and support automations and scripts (BASH, JavaScript, Java, Python) Participate in on-call rotation providing 24 X 7 support for critical systems operations (will require calling-in or being on-site after normal working hours). Provide planned afterhours support. On Call rotation will be determined down the road but will be part of the job at some point. The ideal candidate will be junior admin type with basic scripting knowledge including school knowledge. Team is 2 right now. Mgr and a Oracle DBA. This person will be supporting the Linux servers and a small amount of HPUX servers and applications and ERP system that run on these servers. Skills Linux, Red hat, Powershell, HPUX, ERP system Additional Skills & Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Experience in a UNIX/Linux Environment working with distributions such as: RedHat, SUSE, HP-UX. Experience with ERP applications. Experience with SAP a plus. Experience with scripting languages such as BASH and JavaScript Experience with writing and executing SQL statements Understanding of software development process Motivated to learn Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
