Testing Specialist

This position requires U.S. Citizenship and an active Public Trust clearance.

We are seeking a skilled Testing Specialist with 4+ years of experience to develop and implement comprehensive testing strategies, ensuring high-quality results across all stages of the software development lifecycle. This position is for an initial 6-month contract, with the option for an additional 6-month extension. Experience working with ServiceNow development efforts is required.

Compensation & Benefits:

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Testing Specialist: $130,000 to $140,000

Pay commensurate with experience.

Testing Specialist Responsibilities Include:

• Create and implement end-to-end testing strategies, applying quality processes and methodologies throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Develop and implement detailed test plans, ensuring all testing objectives are clearly defined and met. Create, plan, and execute test cases based on acceptance criteria.
• Work closely with stakeholders, including development teams, to ensure quality is embedded throughout the process and that testing strategies align with project requirements.
• Monitor and manage test results, ensuring thorough documentation of defects and test outcomes. Track defects to closure and maintain an up-to-date defect repository.
• Utilize business and functional knowledge, including testing standards and guidelines, to ensure that testing objectives are met and results are easily accessible and understandable.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Testing Specialist Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Experience working in a Federal Government Contract setting
• 4+ years of experience in software testing, including experience with ServiceNow development efforts.
• Proficient in creating and executing test cases, test plans, and strategies.
• Strong understanding of testing methodologies, standards, and best practices.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test coverage and objectives.
• Experience tracking defects and managing testing results.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
